High acuity care requires clinical tools for complex cardiac assessment - tools such as GE EK-Pro* multi-lead arrhythmia analysis, ST segment analysis and 12SL* (12-lead diagnostic ECG). We are able to provide you variable cardiac tools with 3, 5, 6 and 10-leadwire ECG monitoring.

Cardiac measurements are available both in the CARESCAPE* Patient Data Module and the Patient Side Module (E-PSM). Please refer to appropriate monitor specifications for details on the availability of cardiac assessment tools in the monitors below. There might be some limitations of tools available in previous generation of monitors.

Benefits and Technology

A wide choice of ECG algorithms form a toolkit from which the required cardiac assessment tools can be chosen. Algorithms range from basic cardiac monitoring to advanced algorithms providing help with decision making and enhanced cardiac workflow with automatic ECG archives and patient report down loads with our MUSE cardiology information system.

GE EK-Pro* (four-lead arrhythmia analysis) can be utilized for detecting lethal arrhythmias only or with full arrhythmia package the information can be extended to the arrhythmia conditions, which may lead to more serious events. GE EK-Pro also analyses ST segment changes from all available ECG leads. GE EK-Pro algorithm utilizes incremental template updating, continuous correlation and contextual analysis to result in the performance of GE EK-Pro is known for.

12SL simultaneous 12 lead ECG analysis

GE Marquette 12SL simultaneous 12 lead ECG analysis program is an easy-to-use, computerized tool that can enhance diagnostic confidence among even occasional readers of ECGs, while improving the productivity of expert interpreters. By providing clinicians with a consistent and repeatable “second opinion,” this age and gender-specific program provides an initial interpretation that the physician can confirm, edit or delete and should help physicians avoid overlooking subtle indications of acute MI. Additional help can be provided with ACI-TIP score calculated simultaneously with 12SL analysis to predicted probability of acute cardiac ischemia and with gender specific criteria to improve the detection of acute myocardial infarctions (AMI) for adult women under the age of 60.

GE Datex-Ohmeda bedside arrhythmia

GE Datex-Ohmeda bedside arrhythmia provides two lead analysis for arrhythmias and ST analysis for all available leads. GE Datex-Ohmeda bedside arrhythmia is based on template matching. Like GE EK-Pro GE Datex-Ohmeda bedside arrhythmia is available in two options: the user can choose either the severe package covering only the most critical arrhythmia events or an extended version designed to detect a variety of arrhythmia events in addition to the most severe.

GE 12RL technology provides you 12-lead ECG view with reduced lead set. Only 6 electrodes is required in order to provide continuously standard 8 ECG leads and additional four reconstructed leads. 12RL enables 12-lead view in situations when using 10-electrodes for monitoring is not feasible, but 12-lead view is appreciated. Eight standard leads are comparable with a conventional 12-lead ECG recording.
